Arden Cho is teasing more details about her upcoming destination wedding.

PEOPLE caught up with the actress-singer, 40, about her wedding planning progress at The Hollywood Reporter's Nominees Night at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The event honored this year's Academy Award nominees and nominated films. KPop Demon Hunters, in which Cho voices the lead character Rumi, received two nominations for Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song.

"We've booked a venue and it's in Italy," Cho exclusively reveals to PEOPLE. "Where and when's a little bit of a secret, but it's coming up. I'm very, very excited. So I'm deep into planning now."

She continues, "Locked the venue. We locked the date. Now I'm picking colors and flowers and themes. And it is a lot to do."

The bride-to-be is also simultaneously preparing looks for the Oscars and her nuptials.

"It's so funny because everyone's like, 'What are you going to wear for the Oscars?' And I'm also like, 'What am I wearing for my wedding?' And so I'm simultaneously preparing both looks that I feel like have equal and exciting value," Cho says. "This is my first Oscars, so that feels super exciting, but it's also my first and hopefully only wedding."

Cho hasn't quite determined what kind of wedding dress she wants, but she is keeping an open mind to different styles. The one thing she knows is that she doesn't want to sacrifice comfort for beauty.

"It is hard. I don't know," she says. "I feel like we're so blessed in this industry where we get to try a lot of different things. And so when it comes to wedding dresses, I know the one thing I want is something that's beautiful but also comfortable. So it's hard. I feel like the choices are endless."

Cho jokes that all of the "lovely gowns" she wore for her engagement photos served as a "test run." She announced her engagement to her fiancé, whose name she is keeping private, in April 2025 on Instagram by sharing photos from her romantic oceanside proposal, which happened on March 31, 2025.

"I like so many different styles, so that's the hard part," Cho explains. "There's a part of me that's like, 'Ooh, I want something really cinched and sexy and beautiful,' but then I'm like, wait, I also want to eat and drink everything and not feel like I'm sucking in the whole night. But then there's a part of me that's like, 'Ooh, I love a big poofy dress.' But you know what's so funny? When we were doing our photos, I realized a poofy dress, you cannot get close to your partner. So then my fiancé and I were like, 'Ooh, a big poofy dress would actually be tough at the altar if we want to come in for a moment or photos.' And so weird things that I'm figuring out."

She says she'll likely have an outfit change, but "only one."

"I feel like I'm at this point where I love fashion, but I feel like the day of my wedding, I don't want it to feel like work. I want to have fun," the Teen Wolf alum explains. "So I'm looking for that perfect dress that will make me feel beautiful and comfortable, but also maybe make it through the night. Maybe it's one of those dresses where part of it peels off and it becomes a mini."

As for who from the KPop Demon Hunters crew scored a wedding invite, Cho is staying tight-lipped."That's a secret," she says. "This is a tough decision because my fiancé has a lot of friends. He's an extrovert. And so it's actually ... I joke and say the entire wedding might be his friends and I get 10 invites. He's way more popular than I am."
