56 Days is intense but a stark difference from what the cast's relationships look like in real life.

Based on the bestselling novel by Catherine Ryan Howard, the Prime Video psychological thriller unfolds when two strangers, Claire and Oliver, meet in a Boston supermarket and embark on an intense relationship. The plot thickens when police find an unidentified body in Oliver's apartment.

Former Disney star Dove Cameron, who plays Ciara Wyse, described the couple to PEOPLE as "two deeply lonely people [whose] romance is a chemical reaction fueled by obsession and the hope of being understood, so the speed and intensity of their relationship felt emotionally truthful to play together on screen."

Her costar Avan Jogia, who portrays Oliver Kennedy, added, "The series also interrogates how audiences project meaning onto romantic thrillers. There's a lot of paranoia baked into how we watch these stories and whether that instinct is validated or destabilized becomes part of the experience."

Off-screen, both actors are in committed relationships: Cameron is engaged to Måneskin singer Damiano David, while Jogia also has a musical partner in his fiancée, Halsey.

Here's everything to know about the real-life loves of the 56 Days cast.

Cameron, who stars as Ciara Wyse in the erotic thriller, first crossed paths with her fiancé, David, at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

Cameron and the Måneskin band member were vying for the same award, Best New Artist. David and his bandmates lost out to the Disney alum, and the two didn't truly connect until the following year, when he approached her at the 2023 VMAs.

"It felt like it had been 10 years or something. When we had met before, he was in a very different space and I was too, so we didn't register each other at all in that way," Cameron told Cosmopolitan in June 2024. "And then he was like, 'We're starting our world tour at Madison Square Garden. If you're still in town in a few days, we'd love it if you came.' "

She took him up on his offer and attended their September 2023 concert.

"And then they invited me back to their greenroom and then we started talking and then he asked me to the after-party," Cameron added. "And then very quickly it became 'Let's have dinner at 8:00 at this spot.' "

After sparking dating rumors, the pair made their red carpet debut as a couple in February 2024. That same month, Cameron and David went Instagram official.

Since then, Cameron and David have attended other events together. More recently, they announced their engagement on Jan. 3, 2026.

Jogia, who plays opposite Cameron as Oliver Kennedy, is engaged to Grammy-nominated singer Halsey.

They first met in France when Halsey performed in Cannes. They hung out at a bar and chatted before spending the next three weeks together in Europe, Jogia shared on The Drew Barrymore Show in March 2025.

Part of their worldwind trip included a stop in Barcelona, so when Jogia proposed to the "Without Me" singer a year later in 2024, he decided to return to the Spanish city.

"We were sitting next to each other, and he was like, 'Come down on the floor.' So I got down on the floor of this boat, and he pulled out the ring," Halsey recalled during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in February 2025. "He said, 'What's a little bit of marriage between friends?' " And I was like, 'Yeah, I'll do a little bit of marriage with you. I'd prefer to do a lot of it.' "

The actor and singer make time to support each other in their career milestones and at home. Jogia has developed an "authentic" relationship with Halsey's young son Ender, whom they share with ex-boyfriend Alex Aydin.

"We're really lucky. We get to enjoy each stage of our lives," Jogia told PEOPLE in February 2026. "We're just not moving in any one space other than our own."

He continued, commenting on their upcoming wedding, "We're just so busy but ... I'm so excited. It's going to be great."
