The award-winning alternative rock band, known for its energetic music and songs like "Second Chance" and "Sound of Madness," announced both a new album and headlining tour on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
The album, titled "EI8HT," will be released on May 29 and feature the group's recent singles "Three Six Five / Dance, Kid, Dance," "Killing Fields" and "Searchlight." Shinedown further teased its eighth studio effort with the release of "Safe and Sound" on Tuesday.
"This album is over a year in the making. Without question as a band, we pushed ourselves like never before," lead singer Brent Smith said in a statement.
