Russell Wilson is mourning the loss of a beloved member of his family.
On Friday, Feb. 13, the New York Giants quarterback announced that his Dalmatian, Naomi, had died, sharing the news in an emotional post on Instagram alongside two photos honoring her memory.
The first image shows Wilson smiling while lying with Naomi by his side, and the second features Naomi cuddled up with another Dalmatian — Prince, the family's late dog whom Wilson previously described as Naomi's "soulmate."

"Our sweet Naomi," Wilson wrote in the caption. "Thank you for over 12 years of cuddles, kisses, and loyalty. You brought so much love to our family and gave us so many happy memories."
The father and husband, who shares children Sienna Princess, 8, Win Harrison, 5, Amora Princess, 1, and adopted son Future Zahir, 11, with wife, Ciara, continued, "You're back with your soulmate Prince now in Doggy Heaven! We Love you always ❤️"
Around this time last year, Wilson made a similar post for Naomi's brother, Prince, who died after a long battle with cancer.
In a January 2025 Instagram, post alongside images of Prince and the couple, Wilson recollected on receiving the pups during his first year of professional football, calling Prince, "a blessing to our family with so many memories, hugs and kisses from our 4 kids and us."
The touching tribute continued, "You will forever be a part of us. Today was a hard day. But you overcame cancer 2x and lived 12 years when most live 6. Heaven got a good one! Forever the Prince of Peace. Love you."

Wilson has spoken openly about Naomi and Prince being a major part of the couple's life in a May 2019 interview with PEOPLE for the Banfield Foundation's Safer Together initiative in an effort to provide more resources to pet owners in abusive situations.
"The great Danes just want to lay on your lap all the time," the football star said at the time. "Ciara and I will be trying to have a date night, watching a movie, and all of a sudden there's three great Danes laying across our laps."
Naomi and Prince aren't the first pets the couple has said goodbye to.
In May 2022, when Ciara introduced the world to the family's new puppy, Bronco, whom her kids nicknamed "Bronco Love Brownie," the proud mom reflected on her late dog Tyson and the "bittersweet" of having a new dog in the home.
"Losing Tyson was hard. I had him for almost 17 years," she wrote alongside an image of Tyson lying on her baby bump at the time. "He will always be in our hearts."
