Ant Anstead is sharing high praise for his girlfriend Renée Zellweger on a very special day!
The Born Mechanic host, 46, took to his Instagram Stories on Monday, Nov. 17 after his girlfriend received a special honor in his native England. The post came after the Oscar-winning actress, 56, attended the unveiling ceremony for a new Bridget Jones statue in central London on the same day.
Zellweger has played the beloved character over nearly 25 years, first appearing in the 2001 hit Bridget Jones's Diary, and most recently in the franchise's latest film, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, which was released in February 2025.
To celebrate the moment, Anstead reposted a video of his girlfriend at the unveiling ceremony, which included her posing for photos and reacting to the bronze figure once the cover was removed. The clip then zoomed in on the statue of Zellweger's character holding her diary and a pen.

The automotive expert added Olivia Dean's "It Isn't Perfect But It Might Be" in the background, and gave the post a simple caption: "Iconic."
Speaking to BBC News during the ceremny, Zellweger shared her reaction to the "adorable" statue: "I think she's much cuter than me."
She added that Bridget is a symbol of authenticity, which explains why her character has resonated with so many people over the years, she said.
"[It's her] vulnerability, her humanness," the actress shared. "We recognize ourselves in her, we recognize ourselves in her struggles.
While Anstead appears to be in the U.K. per his recent Instagram posts (he splits his time between London and Newport Beach, Calif.), it's unclear whether he attended the unveiling ceremony in person.
Either way, he made sure to commemorate Zellweger's special event with a rare social media post.
Despite the couple's tendency to keep their relationship private, Anstead has always shown his support for his girlfriend, especially in the last year with the premiere of Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
In January, he brought his two older children — daughter Amelie, 21, and son Archie, 18 — to the film's London premiere, where they posed on the red carpet together. Anstead shares his older children with his first ex-wife Louise Anstead, and he's also dad to 6-year-old son Hudson from his second marriage to HGTV star Christina Haack.

After the premiere, Anstead shared the family photo on Instagram and penned a sweet caption to his girlfriend, in which he referred to her as "the missus."
"Midweek movie night with the kiddos…." he wrote at the time. "The Movie was absolutely utterly brilliant and the lead actress was mesmerising and smoking HOT (I have a mega crush on her!) I've let the missus know she's my hall pass….. X."

Also in January, Zellweger shared some rare insight into her relationship with Anstead, who she's been dating since 2021, during a feature for British Vogue.

While being interviewed by her longtime Bridget Jones's Diary costar Hugh Grant, the Love Actually alum said that he couldn't remember where Zellweger lived.
"I live in Southern California, near San Diego, because that's where my fellow lives, and his little boy," she answered, referring to Anstead's youngest son Hudson, with whom she's developed a sweet relationship over the years.
The couple originally met while filming an episode of his discovery+ show, Celebrity IOU Joyride, on which stars overhauled vintage cars to give back to special people in their lives.
