Universal Studios Hollywood's much-anticipated The Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Rollercoaster will officially open this summer.
The ride will be the park's first-ever high-speed outdoor rollercoaster. A teaser for the new attraction will air within broadcasts of the Winter Olympics, Super Bowl LX and NBA All-Star, all on NBC and Peacock, according to a press release.
The spot will feature narration from Fast & Furious franchise producer, star and longtime Universal Parks collaborator, Vin Diesel. A teaser of the ad premiered on Thursday, Feb. 5.

The rollercoaster will include a unique 360-degree rotation technology made to immerse riders in the feeling of drifting cars at speeds up to 72 miles per hour, while rolling along 4,100 feet of elaborate aerial track, the equivalent of nearly 12 football fields. The track winds its way over sections of the theme park, including the multi-level Starway escalator that connects the Upper and Lower Lots.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will launch as Universal Pictures celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Fast & Furious franchise. The hit series will release its final installment, Fast Forever, on March 17, 2028, according to the press release. The most recent film in the franchise, Fast X, was released in 2023.

The new ride will join the ranks of Universal Studios Hollywood's slate of popular rides. The park is home to Mario Kart and Bowser's Challenge in Super Nintendo World and the immersive Wizarding World of Harry Potter attractions. There are also rides based on Jurassic World, The Secret Life of Pets, Despicable Me, The Simpsons, Transformers and The Mummy.
