Barry Manilow needs some more time to recover after undergoing surgery to treat his lung cancer.

The 82-year-old "Copacabana" singer shared a health update with fans in a Feb. 4 social media post, in which he wrote, "I'm doing great and recovering very well after my surgery. I've been getting exercise and spending some time in the studio, which has been fantastic."

But some scheduled concerts during his "lifetime residency" at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino will have to be delayed in February due to the "guidance and recommendations" of Manilow's doctor.

"We have decided to postpone my residency dates at Westgate Las Vegas from February 12-21 so I can stay focused on healing and getting ready for the tour that's kicking off at the end of February," Manilow's post said. "Having a few extra weeks to rest and prepare is what the doctor ordered!"

Barry Manilow said he needs some more time away from the stage to recover after undergoing surgery to treat lung cancer.

Per the venue's previously released schedule, his next residency shows resume March 26-28. According to a news release from his representatives, "Tickets for the postponed Las Vegas dates will be fully refundable at the point of purchase."

The news comes only a few weeks after Manilow added more dates to his upcoming arena tour, which kicks off at the end of February and runs through April.

In December, Manilow took to Instagram to reveal that a lengthy bout with bronchitis led to the discovery of a cancer spot.

"Even though I was over the bronchitis and back on stage at the Westgate Las Vegas, my wonderful doctor ordered an MRI just to make sure that everything was OK. The MRI discovered a cancerous spot on my left lung that needs to be removed," the singer wrote. "It's pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That's the good news."

"I'm taking tests to confirm their diagnosis," he added. "So, that's it. No chemo. No radiation. Just chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns."
