Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast is known for its deep, intimate conversations that push past the surface—and his latest episode is no exception. For this week's installment, the British author and host welcomed Nick Jonas to the seat for a particularly moving discussion that spanned everything from growing up in the spotlight to his life with wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

In a standout segment, the Jonas Brothers star opened up about fatherhood and all it has taught him. Speaking to Shetty, the musician got emotional recalling the difficult birth of his daughter, Malti Marie, whom he and Chopra welcomed via surrogate in January 2022—three months ahead of her due date.

"She came to the world under sort of very intense circumstances, which I've not really talked about, ever," Jonas shared. "We were expecting her to arrive in April of the year she was born and we got a call that it's gonna be sooner."

"We basically went into action," he continued. "We got to the hospital and she came out. She was one pound, 11 ounces, and purple."

Looking back on the terrifying moment, the singer expressed his gratitude for the NICU nurses who "got [Malti] taken care of really quickly." From there, Jonas and Chopra spent three-and-a-half months taking 12-hour shifts at the hospital, and spent time with other families going through similar situations. "It was both comforting and frightening to be there every day," he said, sharing that he can still remember the smell of the hospital, all these years later.

"I feel like she knows how she entered the world and what that first chapter of her life was like, and so every day is a gift. You can actually feel it in her, in the way that she behaves and how exciting everything is," the artist said about his now four-year-old daughter, his first (and only, as of now) child.

"She's magic in every sense of the word. She just turned four a couple weeks ago, it blows my mind," Jonas said. "I look at her and I can see her future. I just know she's gonna do amazing things. And I'm awestruck that I get to experience her magic."

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links."

Chris Noth revealed in a new interview how he feels about his reduced role as Mr. Big in the Sex and the City spin-off, And Just Like That....

Noth briefly reprised his role as Mr. Big, the longtime onscreen love interest to Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw, in the first episode of AJLT. But his character died at the end of that very episode. Noth's sudden exit from the franchise coincided with two women accusing the actor of sexual assault.

While attending a charity event in New York City on Wednesday, Noth was asked by the Daily Mail how he feels to not be part of AJLT, which released its series finale after three seasons last year. "I feel very good. Very well," he said. "I think I was very lucky."

When asked if he keeps in touch with any SATC cast members, Noth answered, "John Corbett [who played Aidan Shaw] and I are very close friends. He's doing wonderful."

As for his rumored feud with Parker, Noth shut down the question. "No, no, no. It's over," he said.

Shortly after the sexual assault allegations against Noth became public, Parker and her SATC co-stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon released a joint statement in support of the women behind the claims. "We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth," the statement read. "We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it."

Noth has denied the allegations.

In recent weeks, Noth has ignited rumors of a feud between him and his former co-star by seemingly shading Parker in a comment on Instagram. Responding to a comment that read, "You mean fcuk sjp & her award right? lol," Noth wrote, "Right." He later clarified in another post that his response was meant to be "sarcastic."

"It is not news," Noth continued. "It is not worth all this discussion. It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about."

The 10 Best Films Out Now and Coming Soon

There's nothing quite like a great movie to give you some much-needed escapism from the stresses of work, family, and everything else you're balancing. And if you've already run through the feel-good movies on Netflix or gobbled up our favorite book-to-film adaptations, you're probably looking for something new. Luckily, there's a slew of great movies out this season to freshen up your watch list.

We're officially post-Golden Globes ceremony, which is the perfect time to catch up on this season's Oscar contenders. And 2026 doesn't disappoint — on our list, you'll find a tense drama about a ping pong champion, a stunning (and popular) period horror film, and a searingly sad movie about the most famous writer of all time. Plus, a pop star debuts as the focus of a mockumentary that's the perfect palate cleanser after you've filled up on dramas. Grab the popcorn and let's dive in.

Best New Movies Out Now and Coming Soon: January 2026Marty Supreme

Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet), a wily hustler with a dream no one respects, goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness. This film has garnered several Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture. Plus, Chalamet is up for Best Actor.

Where to watch: Currently playing in theaters.

Sinners

Twin brothers return to their Mississippi hometown to start again, only to discover — at the opening of their juke joint — that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. (Michael B. Jordan stars as both twins, by the way, and manages to portray each as a distinct character.) The movie is up for Best Picture, and Jordan is nominated for Best Actor.

Where to watch: Streaming on HBO MAX.

One Battle After Another

Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a washed-up revolutionary who lives off-grid with his spirited daughter, Willa (Chase Infiniti). When Willa goes missing, the former radical scrambles to find her as both father and daughter battle the consequences of their pasts. DiCaprio is yet another Best Actor nominee, and this movie is also nominated for Best Picture (it's going to be a tight race).

Where to watch: Streaming on HBO MAX.

Train Dreams

Robert Grainier has lived all of his life in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, working on the land, helping to create a new world at the turn of the 20th century. This drama is based on a novella by the legendary writer Denis Johnson (if you know, you know). The film stars Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, and William H. Macy. It's also an Oscar nominee — it's up for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Where to watch: Streaming on Netflix.

Hamnet

William Shakespeare and his wife, Agnes, are blissful after the birth of their son, Hamnet. However, when Hamnet tragically passes away, it inspires Shakespeare to write his timeless masterpiece Hamlet. Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal star in this historical drama. Buckley is nominated for Best Actress, while the film itself is nominated for Best Picture.

Where to watch: Currently playing in theaters.

Sentimental Value

Sisters Nora and Agnes reunite with their estranged father, Gustav, a once-renowned director who offers Nora a role in what he hopes will be his comeback film. Elle Fanning is up for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie, while Stellan Skarsgård earned a nomination for his performance. This is yet another candidate for Best Picture, too.

Where to watch: Streaming on Prime Video.

If I Had Legs, I'd Kick You

With her life crashing down around her, Linda tries to navigate her daughter's mysterious illness, her absent husband, a missing person, and an increasingly hostile relationship with her therapist. Starring Rose Byrne, who's nominated for Best Actress.

Where to watch: Streaming on HBO MAX.

Bugonia

Two conspiracy-obsessed men kidnap the CEO of a major company when they become convinced that she's an alien who wants to destroy Earth. Emma Stone (who stars as the CEO) is nominated for Best Actress for her performance.

Where to watch: Streaming on Peacock.

The Moment

In this music mockumentary, rising pop star (Charli XCX) navigates the complexities of industry pressure while preparing for an arena tour debut.

Where to watch: In theaters Feb. 6.

Wuthering Heights

Tragedy strikes when Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi) falls in love with Catherine Earnshaw (Margot Robbie), a woman from a wealthy family in 18th-century England. This flick is loosely based on Emily Brontë's iconic novel of the same name.

Where to watch: In theaters Feb. 13.

Two years ago, Oscar night. Backstage. Catherine O'Hara and I have mere minutes before we walk out to present, and we're riffing on how to make a funny entrance.

She says, "How 'bout when they introduce us, you go out real fast without waiting for me, and I'll go—'Hey, wait!'"

"Yeah. I like it. Let's do that," I say.

Ladies and gentlemen, here to present...

We enter. Do the bit. Crickets—mostly.

To this day, I replay it in my head, feeling like I let her down. Did I not sell it enough? Was I too subtle? Too real? I literally re-do the walk in my mind, trying to make it work.

With almost anyone else, I'd have forgotten it within seconds. But with her? It wasn't about the joke landing. It was because I liked her so damn much. To work comedically with Catherine, as I was lucky to get to do not just at the awards show but on two Beetlejuice movies and projects like The Paper and Game 6 across nearly 40 years, was like breathing rarefied air. And between takes, it was the greatest hang on set. The only thing better was the hang off set—in real life, as I call it.

When she talked to you, she talked with you. When you told her a story, she looked right at you and was all in. A twinkle, a light, a glow—I don't know what the hell it was.

To make her laugh was such a joy.

We had made tentative plans to get together in January. She and her husband Bo were going to come over to the house for dinner. I'm still kind of waiting.

Since her unthinkable passing at 71 on Jan. 30, I mostly managed to avoid any clips of her on my phone or TV, but I got blindsided by one that popped up—couldn't avoid it. I watched. I felt sad. I turned off the light and closed my eyes to sleep.

About four minutes later, I woke myself up to the sound of laughing. It was me.

I smiled and fell asleep.

To have a woman as your friend is a great thing. To have a brilliantly funny woman as your friend is special. To have Catherine O'Hara as your friend is a blessing.

Among so many great comedians, past and present, Catherine stood out. Comedically? Gold. As a person? Platinum.

I'll have dinner with Bo. You have laughs with John Candy.

- Guy Fieri tells EW that his radical new look in his Bosch Super Bowl commercial started out "as in-office dare."

- The Food Network mainstay recalls the creative team wondering, "Would Guy Fieri really do this?"

- Fieri's teases of his new look caused fans to freak out over his spiky blond tips and goatee giving way to a polite coiff and clean shave.

To see him is to know him.

Guy Fieri has been rocking frosted spikes and a sick goatee for the better part of two decades. The celebrity chef and host of nearly a dozen Food Network series understands better than anyone how his instantly recognizable look has over time transcended the realm of mere aesthetics to function more like branding, a walking logo.

So he knew what it would mean when he was approached to debut a radical new look for the 2026 Super Bowl.

"When we talked with the Bosch team, I think it was a little bit of an in-office dare. Like, would Guy Fieri really do this?" he tells ** ahead of the big game. Fieri first teased his radical new look in a beguiling clip shared to his Instagram on Jan. 22 that had fans so perplexed, that even his son, Hunter, asked in a comment, "Dad… when did you start selling insurance?"

Then he revealed his partnership with Bosch on Jan. 26, with another brief Instagram video that featured Fieri in front of a vanity, staring nervously at his own reflection while a buzzing trimmer slowly advanced toward his iconic facial hair.**

The full commercial dropped on Thursday, finally giving fans a full view of Fieri's new alter-ego, "Justaguy." Sporting a sensible gingham button-up and a slicked-over 'do, the drab version of Fieri transforms into the unleashed Guy we know and love every time he makes contact with a Bosch appliance. "I feel like more than Justaguy. I feel like Guy," he declares, as guitars shred, eagles screech, and engines rev.

"Just a couple weeks prior, getting fitted for the wig and the whole thing," Fieri recalls wondering just how far he could push the gambit, still believing that he was being underestimated. But he says the company "leaned in hard."

Fieri shot the commercial, which drops in full on Feb. 8 during the Super Bowl, "up in Vancouver. We just took it to the Nth degree. And that's what's gonna come out."**

Fieri got his start on TV in 2006, when he appeared on - and won - the second season of *The Next Food Network Star*. But he'd enjoyed a long and successful career in restaurants before that.

****Before there were Guy Fieri's Flavortown Kitchens across the country, Fieri owned and operated the pasta grill chain Johnny Garlic's in California, and Guy's American Kitchen and Bar in New York, which put him on the map as an established force in the food world.

Fieri has become one of the Food Network's most tireless soldiers ever since his *Food Network Star *win. So tireless that he recently suffered a gruesome fall while on set for the upcoming series *Flavortown Food Fight*. Fieri previously told EW that he "snapped my quad muscle on the center of my leg in half" after a fall down a set of stairs, but reassured fans that he's (mostly) all healed up, and "at the point now where I just take every day with appreciation."**

Legendary actress Whoopi Goldberg, who once famously said she isn't a fan of marriage because she doesn't want "want somebody in my house," has given another update on her love life.

"I don't give a f--- what you want," the 70-year-old EGOT winner told *Interview* magazine, as part of a larger answer in a new wide-ranging conversation with Tony-nominated playwright Jeremy O. Harris, who inquired about the Hollywood legend's signature penchant for single life.

"It teaches you several things. Being lonely and being alone are two different things," Goldberg said in response to the *Slave Play* writer's observations about substantial relationships that can become richer as a result of solo living.

Goldberg elaborated, telling Harris, "I don't necessarily get lonely, because there's enough people around who don't let me. But most people are not comfortable being alone because we've been taught that there's something wrong with you if you're not a pair, that being singular, eating singular, is a bad thing," she said.

"Sometimes you don't want to eat with other people. Sometimes you just want to go and have some pasta," the *Ghost* star added. "You don't want to say, 'Do you want red wine or white wine?' I don't give a f--- what you want."

The trailblazing *Color Purple* and *Sister Act* performer has had several publicized relationships in the past, including with actors Ted Danson and Frank Langella.

She's also been married three times, and has regularly expressed her views against marriage — for her — in the past.

"I think I'm not that interested. I'm much happier on my own. I can spend as much time with somebody as I want to spend, but I'm not looking to be with somebody forever or live with someone. I don't want somebody in my house," she told the *New York Times* in 2016, adding, "I'm the round peg, and marriage is the square hole. You can't have a square hole, can you?"

Elsewhere in the *Interview* conversation, Goldberg said she's instead focused on the needs of her family, and enriching those bonds later in life.

"I'm not good at relationships because you have to think about other people, and I have enough to think about with my daughter and her husband and my grandkids and my great-grandkids and all the people at work," she said.

Outside of her personal life, Goldberg has remained a professional powerhouse in her career. She makes daily headlines as a cohost on *The View*, and has steadily acted in both film and TV projects while maintaining the talk show gig, including parts in movies like *Ezra* and a cameo in the 2023 *Color Purple* remake, as well as parts in series like *Harlem*, *The Stand*, and the upcoming *Anansi Boys*.

Kate Middleton has a special surprise for Prince William, a heartfelt, handmade gift that shows her thoughtful side and is sure to make the future king smile.

During a visit to the Hiut Denim factory in Cardigan, Wales, the Princess of Wales watched trainees learning how to tailor the company's items. The company specializes in high-quality, sustainable denim jeans, per their website.

PEOPLE Magazine reported that each pair of Hiut jeans has an interior label that reads "Made in Wales." During her visit, Kate was asked if she wanted to put the final stitches on a pair to gift to William.

The princess lovingly sewed a label inside a pair of Hack-style jeans, per the outlet. Following, PEOPLE quoted Hiut traniee Phoebe Phillips, who spoke to the princess.

The princess also interacted with other members of the Hiut family during her visit. She revealed to the company's CEO, Johann Von Loeper, that she and William have an eight-month-old cocker spaniel puppy.

Loeper told PEOPLE, "She had a rather long chat with my fiancée about our dog, about how she also has cocker spaniels and that hers is the same age as ours. It was a nice moment that broke the ice."

Kate was seen in an Instagram reel posted by HELLO! meeting the couple's dog, telling the animal, "You are lovely!" She then revealed that the family's new puppy is a boy.

The couple's latest addition is their second dog. He joins their five-year-old spaniel, Orla.

The pup is believed to be from the litter Orla delivered in the past year. Orla was originally gifted to William, Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis by Kate's brother, James Middleton, a dog breeder who also gave the couple their first dog, Lupo.
