A BINMAN battled by way of billowing smoke to rescue two individuals and a canine from a blazing flat.
Steve Whitehouse, 49, noticed the hearth, brought on by an e-bike battery explosion, during his morning collection spherical with driver Kevin Marriott.
The dad of one climbed a wall 3 times to succeed in a balcony.
From there, he obtained a lady, a man and their canine to safety from a first-floor flat in Tipton, West Mids.
The man, in his 20s, was treated in hospital for the consequences of smoke.
Hearth chief Chris Green stated: "It was clear as we approached that this was a severe hearth.
"I've little question that, with out Steve's unimaginable bravery, the result might have been very totally different.
"I do not know how he managed to do what he did. It was heroic.
"The hearth and smoke have been coming out of the property's rear door like a blow torch.
"One rescue would have been exceptional.
"To save lots of the lives of two individuals and a dog is staggering.
"We can be putting him ahead for official recognition."
