Brent Smith, from left, Zach Myers, Eric Bass and Barry Kerch of Shinedown attend iHeartRadio Hot 99.5's Jingle Ball 2025 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 16, 2025.

Shinedown won't be dimming its light anytime soon.

The award-winning alternative rock band, known for its energetic music and songs like "Second Chance" and "Sound of Madness," announced both a new album and headlining tour on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

The album, titled "EI8HT," will be released on May 29 and feature the group's recent singles "Three Six Five / Dance, Kid, Dance," "Killing Fields" and "Searchlight." Shinedown further teased its eighth studio effort with the release of "Safe and Sound" on Tuesday.

"This album is over a year in the making. Without question as a band, we pushed ourselves like never before," lead singer Brent Smith said in a statement.

Brent Smith of Shinedown performs during iHeartRadio Hot 99.5's Jingle Ball in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 16, 2025.

Fans thankfully won't have to wait long to hear Shinedown's newest tunes in the flesh.

The Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour, which kicks off May 13, will hit 50 cities across North America, as well as include several dates in Europe. The tour will include musical support from opening acts Coheed and Cambria, Black Stone Cherry, From Ashes to New, DJ Rock Feed and Those Damn Crows.

Aside from the tour, the band is also headlining its first-ever festival, Lunatic Ball Beach Weekend, this fall. The three-day event, taking place Oct. 23-25 in Miramar Beach, Florida, boasts an eclectic lineup featuring Bush, Hanson, Flyleaf, Living Colour, From Ashes to New, Guardians of the Jukebox and Neon Mooners.

Ice Spice's AndreDNA Bodysuit Has Bold Cutouts for Valentine's Day Party

When it comes to dressing up for parties, star-studded events, and the hottest nights out with her besties, Ice Spice clearly believes subtlety is not an option. This is why she always goes all out to make her mark. This happened to be true for her Valentine's Day celebration look, as well. After all, she leaned all the way into bold energy with an AndreDNA bodysuit with daring cutouts.

To be honest, this fiery and fabulous outfit didn't just follow the theme of the night; it legit rewrote it. It clearly managed to blend sultry sass with performance-ready panache, making sure that all eyes stayed glued on her, which is exactly where she wanted them!

Ice Spice stuns in custom AndreDNA bodysuit with cutouts for Valentine's Day party

View this post on Instagram

Ice Spice went above and beyond to make her mark for her Valentine's Day party during New York Fashion Week. She went with an exquisite AndreDNA Bodysuit, which was white, baby pink, and nude-hued. It looked excellent against her complexion. The bold look also helped her flaunt her curves. Furthermore, it also had well-placed cuts, which gave her a modern and daring look. Further, Ice Spice also made the wise decision to round out her glam look by layering it with a contrasting beige-hued full-sleeved fur jacket. This cropped pick added some additional drama to her visibly Gen-Z-coded outfit game.

No matter what the occasion, Ice Spice is always able to hit just the right mark with her accessory choices. This time, she went all out with a maximalist touch for this look, adding some extra twinkle to her outfit. The list included delicate earrings with a matching statement-worthy silver necklace, which added extra gorgeousness to her look.

Coming to makeup, Ice Spice kept things flawless for this look. She went with a smooth base with some contour and bronzer, placed on the sides. She also added a touch of blush and highlighter on her cheeks and nose, adding some color to the dewy look. For her eyes, she went with well-shaped eyebrows, extra mascara-coated lashes, and pretty pink eyeshadow with a sleek black eyeliner. Last but not least, she went with a pink lip shade with some gloss for her lips.

On Barbara Corcoran's 38th wedding anniversary with Bill Higgins, she admitted they nearly missed the very day they said "I do."

The Shark Tank star, 76, celebrated 38 years of marriage on Instagram on Saturday, Feb. 14. In her post, she shared how the couple almost "missed" their Valentine's Day wedding back in 1988.

"38 years ago today, I said 'I do,' " Corcoran wrote alongside a photo with her husband. "Bill and I almost missed our own wedding. We went cross-country skiing that morning, got lost in the woods, and somehow still managed to hit traffic on the way back, even though we always hit traffic."

She continued, "My parents and the minister were ready to call it a day when we finally walked in. Five minutes later, we were married. I married a good man, a great father, and a very handsome guy."

Corcoran concluded her post by wishing Higgins a happy anniversary and gushing that he's "still the one."

The couple met at a conference in 1981 and tied the knot seven years later. Over the course of their marriage, Corcoran and Higgins welcomed two children, son Tom and daughter Kate. Higgins also has four children from a previous marriage.

"I know I have a good man, a great father, and a guy that totally drives me absolutely nuts every day of my life," Corcoran raved about Higgins on Instagram in 2022. "I'm sure I drive him just as crazy."

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal published on Monday, Feb. 2, Corcoran revealed the secret to her nearly 40-year marriage: separate bedrooms.

"When I got my second bedroom, I immediately loved my husband twice as much," the investor said.

During an appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show in December 2024, Corcoran elaborated on her need for space and alone time, telling host Jamie Kern Lima, "I think there's something to be said about your own private space. I lead a very busy life. I have a huge family that I'm always entertaining. I have very sincere, active friends, and so what I need more than anything else is a respite, and my husband is not relaxing."

Kim Kardashian is showing some support for her oldest!

On Monday, Feb. 16, the SKIMS co-founder, 45, shared a video on her Instagram Stories as she rocked out to her 11-year-old daughter North's song in the car.

In the clip, Kardashian shared a look at her car radio, which was playing her daughter North's song "Piercing on My Hand." It was playing on SiriusXM's The Heat. The pre-teen could be heard singing her song as Kardashian recorded the video.

Kardashian shares her four kids — North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm – with ex Kanye West.

North first posted a clip of her song on her Instagram Stories back in January. That version of the track was a collaboration with her rapper dad and appeared to be commenting on the public outrage over North's two dermal piercings.

"Piercing on my hand, the other holding bands," North rapped in the song. "No friends, just filter, you wouldn't understand."

"Went to school for two days, then I got banned/Skipping school, yeah, I do it on the daily," she continued later in the track. "Got some new rings, yeah, they're so crazy."

"All my friends are hits, you know I'm not lazy/You're so angry that I'm so mainstream," rapped North. "I'm not sure I'm crazy/I want more piercings and tats/I love blue hair put it in some plaits/Put the music to the max/I want like a hundred thousand racks."

In September, the tween was photographed walking in Rome, Italy, with her famous mom. In the picture, North could be seen debuting a dermal piercing. Also known as microdermal piercings or single-point piercings, dermal piercings lie flat against the skin and don't have a separate entry and exit point, per Byrdie.

Kim and North

Fans were quick to criticize Kardashian for letting North get the piercing, with many saying that she's too young for a dermal piercing, which some say can be more painful and prone to infection than other types of piercings.

However, since debuting the piercing, North has been vocal in defending the fashion choice.

On Nov. 11, a TikTok user, @mazzy_williams, posted a video with overlay text reading, "north west getting a finger piercing is breaking my heart just me?" to which North and Kardashian responded, "it's okay 🫶" via their joint account.

North then doubled down on her accessory alone, posting a TikTok on Dec. 9 with a clear message. "This is for everyone that's mad over a finger piercing," she wrote while also mouthing to an audio that said, "Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together."

Then in January, North shared that she'd gotten a second dermal piercing on her finger. In a photo shared to her Instagram Stories on Jan. 13, she showed off what appeared to be another piercing, joining the other one she has on her middle finger.

According to court documents, West's ex-project manager, Tony Saxon, is suing the rapper over how he handled the controversial remodeling of his Malibu mansion. The lawsuit is headed for trial on February 21.

Bianca Censori will testify in Kanye West's legal battle

Kanye West's wife, Bianca Censori, will reportedly testify in his legal battle, which is headed for trial on February 21. According to TMZ, West's former employee, Saxon, has requested that Censori speak on the legal matter. It is unclear what kind of testimony Saxon expects Censori to provide.

Saxon had previously sued the "Runaway" rapper, claiming West hired him in September 2021 as project manager and full-time security for his Malibu property.

In the lawsuit, Saxon alleged that West made him work 16 hours a day with no proper rest or basic facilities. He even shared that he was forced to sleep on the floor using a coat as makeshift bedding.

Saxon claims that things took a turn for the worse in November 2021, when West demanded that Saxon remove all the windows and cut off the electricity supply. According to the suit, Saxon advised against this move, raising safety concerns.

He warned that this move posed an "extreme danger," especially after West insisted on bringing large generators inside. Saxon was concerned that the generators might cause a major fire and that it was not an advisable move.

Furthermore, Saxon claimed that West threatened him. West said he would consider Saxon his "enemy" if he did not follow his orders. The "Heartless" rapper said, "If you don't do what I say, you're not going to work for me." Saxon revealed that he refused to listen to West, who fired him from his job on the spot.

Saxon has mentioned in his lawsuit that he is suing his former employer over unpaid dues and labor code violations and wants West's wife, Censori, to testify in the legal battle.

West has denied all the allegations levied by his former employee. Moreover, the rapper alleged that Saxon worked according to his own will. He even requested the court to toss the lawsuit entirely.

Legendary songwriter Billy Steinberg has died at age 74.

Steinberg died in Los Angeles' Brentwood neighborhood, his attorney Laurie Soriano tells PEOPLE.

"Billy was an American treasure, such a lovely pure soul who was able to give us the most poetic lyrics that moved millions of people all over the world," Soriano adds.

Steinberg died following his journey with cancer, TMZ reported.

Steinberg was the mastermind behind some of the greatest pop songs of the '80s and '90s, including Madonna's hit "Like a Virgin" and Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors."

Steinberg's career began in the late '70s when he formed his new wave band Billy Thermal. After recording an unreleased album, the band broke up. Steinberg then formed i-Ten with his longtime creative partner Tom Kelly.

The pair reached new heights when they wrote the melodramatic love song "Like a Virgin," which spent six weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart between 1984 and 1985. The two also co-wrote Lauper's "True Colors" and "Alone," as well as Whitney Houston's "So Emotional" and the Bangles' "Eternal Flame." All four songs reached No. 1 on the Hot 100.

Steinberg won a Grammy in 1997 for his work on Dion's Falling Into You, which was named album of the year. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011.

In an Instagram post, Lauper remembered him as a friend and shared her condolences with Steinberg's family.

"I'm so sorry to hear that my friend Billy Steinberg has passed away," she wrote. "He was such a nice guy and very supportive. My thoughts are with his family, loved ones, and Tom during this sad time."

Steinberg is survived by his wife Trina and his sons Ezra and Max.

James Van Der Beek's friend and fellow actor Mehcad Brooks shared a powerful message on social media to anyone criticizing the family's GoFundMe in the wake of his death.

On Saturday, Law & Order alum Brooks responded to a user on Threads who shared a headline reporting that the late Dawson's Creek alum bought a $4.8 million Texas home in January before he died. The user said the family asking for donations via the GoFundMe "doesn't sit right with me" after buying such an expensive home.

"I am one of the Van Der Beek's closet friends, and the headlines are fake AF," Brooks wrote on Threads in response. "You have no idea wtf you're talking about. You have no idea the pain they went through. It's ok to stfu when you can't know what the f--- you're talking about."

The Mortal Kombat star continued, "It's ok not to try to seek attention off of other people's suffering or the generosity in response to it. Because James touched them for decades. It's ok for you to stay quiet in the face of blind stupidity, meanness and lack of empathy. But maybe you're not okay."

James Van Der Beek celebrates his 46th birthday with his six children.

Earlier on Saturday, the Threads user posted a screenshot of a TMZ article reporting that Van Der Beek purchased the multi-million dollar ranch one month before he died on Feb. 11 at age 48, leaving behind his wife, Kimberly, and their six children. The screenshot also showed the GoFundMe set up for the family after his death, which has raised nearly $2.7 million as of Monday.

"This doesn't sit right with me. Not at all," the user wrote. "Sure, I get it. But thousands of people around the world face this exact situation every day and deal with the struggle. They don't get $2.5 million. It's just weird. He had to have had life insurance… and residual checks…"

The Dawson's Creek star left Los Angeles in 2020 with his wife and their six children to begin renting a sprawling 36-acre property on the outskirts of Austin. He made moves to purchase the ranch in January with "help" from friends, a representative for the late actor confirmed on Sunday.

"James secured down payment for the Texas ranch for the family with the help of friends through a trust so they could shift from rent to mortgage," a spokesperson for the actor said on Saturday. According to Realtor.com, the home cost $4.76 million and was purchased on Jan. 9, just over a month before the actor died.

Van Der Beek, who played the titular character on all six seasons of Dawson's Creek, died on Wednesday after announcing in November 2024 that he'd been diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer and had been privately undergoing treatment. Following his death, friends of the beloved actor set up a GoFundMe to provide financial support for his family as they faced "an uncertain future."

"The costs of James's medical care and the extended fight against cancer have left the family out of funds," the GoFundMe states. "They are working hard to stay in their home and to ensure the children can continue their education and maintain some stability during this incredibly difficult time."

They added that donations would go toward "essential living expenses, [to] pay bills, and support the children's education."

In addition to fans' generous contributions, the Van Der Beek family has also received high-value donations from Steven Spielberg, Zoe Saldaña, Dancing With the Stars judge Derek Hough, and Wicked director Jon M. Chu.

The late actor previously opened up about receiving "almost nothing" from Dawson's Creek residuals, which helps explain why his family is currently struggling financially in the wake of his death.

"There was no residual money," Van Der Beek told TODAY.com in 2012. "I was 20. It was a bad contract. I saw almost nothing from that."

He revealed in that same 2012 interview that he decided to star in Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 "when the [Dawson's Creek] money ran out," and he realized he needed to "buckle down" and sign on to projects to provide for his family.

Before his death, Van Der Beek spent months auctioning off items from some of his most iconic roles, including Dawson's Creek and Varsity Blues, to help pay for his medical care.

"I've been storing these treasures for years, waiting for the right time to do something with them, and with all of the recent unexpected twists and turns life has presented recently, it's clear that the time is now," the actor told PEOPLE in November 2025. "While I have some nostalgia tugging at me as I part with these items, it feels good to be able to offer them through Propstore's auction to share with those who have supported my work over the years."
