- Rebel Wilson made new allegations against the producers of her directorial debut* —* the latest in a year-long battle that has seen numerous suits and countersuits on multiple sides.

- Wilson claimed she had a "duty to report" what she believed was a sexual harassment claim by the film's star against one of its producers.

- Wilson claimed she and local producers were "locked in a room and forced to sign documents," which she likened to the tactics of the Soviet intelligence agency the KGB.**

*The Deb *drama is far from over, as the film's director and costar Rebel Wilson heaps new allegations onto the already sizable legal pile.

"It's like your worst nightmare when you're getting this opportunity to direct a movie, and it's something you've spent years of work on," Wilson said in an appearance on *60 Minutes Australia *on Sunday. Talking about "issues" that have consumed her directorial debut and arose before the film even completed production, the *Bride Hard star* said the legal drama came "out of left field."

Wilson kicked off the legal battle in July 2024, when she posted a video to her Instagram and accused the film's producers — Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron, and Vince Holden — of attempting to block *The Deb*'s planned premiere in the closing slot of the Toronto International Film Festival. She also insinuated they had engaged in "inappropriate behavior toward the lead actress" on set, calling them "absolute f---wits" in the post's caption.

Ghost, Cameron, and Holden hit back with a defamation suit, accusing Wilson of unprofessional conduct and of making "unauthorized and improper disclosures" about the film. Wilson then countersued her producers, accusing them of misappropriating $900,000 in Australian currency and expanding on the claim that *The Deb *star Charlotte MacInnes came to Wilson with an allegation about Ghost, which Wilson was later punished for reporting.**

"I felt that in my position as director, I had to report that. And the moment I did, [it] started all kinds of retaliation against me," Wilson told *60 Minutes Australia *journalist Tara Brown. Wilson assured Brown that she was "100 percent" sure MacInnes came to her with an experience involving Ghost that left her "uncomfortable."

That particular piece of the story is at the center of the ongoing legal battle, due to MacInnes herself recently filing a concerns notice accusing Wilson of defaming her by spreading the allegation that she identified as a victim of Ghost's sexual misconduct, claims which she called "completely false and absurd."****

Brown detailed on *60 Minutes Australia *that Ghost allegedly had a medical reaction to cold water exposure during production, prompting her, MacInnes, and an assistant to go to her nearby home, where the producer and actress warmed up together in hot water.

"Charlotte McGinness came to me and she said, 'Last night Amanda Ghost asked me to have a bath and shower with her and it made me feel really uncomfortable,'" Wilson recalled. "She came to me, she made what I obviously inferred as a sexual harassment complaint, and I had a duty to then act on it."

Wilson also alleged that "a whole ton of things went on, including something massive," that being, "me and local producers being locked in a room and forced to sign documents." The *Pitch Perfect* franchise star joked, "At the time, I said, 'What is this? This is like the KBG.'"**

*The Deb* did ultimately premiere as the closing film of the 2024 edition of TIFF, but has yet to receive a wider release.**
