John Travolta has returned to his Grease roots for a new holiday commercial.

The actor channeled Danny Zuko as he performed "Greased Lightnin" as Santa Claus.

John Travolta has electrified the holiday season by returning to his Grease roots in a new holiday commercial.

The actor channeled his beloved character, Danny Zuko, from the 1978 movie musical, as he once again performed one of the film's signature hits, "Greased Lightnin," while dressed like Santa Claus as part of Capital One's Christmas ad campaign.

Debuting Thursday during the 2025 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade telecast on NBC, the new commercial sees Travolta as Santa readying his elves for another Christmas delivery, before breaking into song as they prepare to head out into the snow.

"Ho ho ho," Travolta, 71, says in the clip, while walking past an automobile-inspired sleigh.

He continues, breaking into song as he observes, "Why, this sleigh could be frost-o-matic. Tinsel-matic!" moments before exclaiming, "It's Greased Lightnin'!"

Travolta then launches into a performance of the song, which first debuted in 1971 as part of the stage version of Grease, before Travolta's movie recording shot up the charts amid the movie's success in 1978.

Travolta and his backup dancers dance throughout the rest of the clip while they get the sleigh ready for Christmas.

The star slides under, around, and even on top of the vehicle — all ahead of launching the souped-up sleigh from Santa's garage and into the sky, with help from reindeer leading the way.

After he played the part in the past, the banking company teased Travolta's return as Santa earlier this week on Instagram, with a short clip showing him working under the sleigh with text asking, "Guess who's coming to sleigh the holidays?"

Fans appeared to celebrate Travolta's return as the Christmas figure, with one commenting, "John Travolta always has been and always will be the greatest [Santa Claus] ever. He still has the best moves."

Another added, "You make Santa even more special, and your presence makes the world better. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, John!"

Travolta's performance of "Greased Lightnin" in the ad isn't the actor's first Grease-centric moment of the year. In June, the actor surprised fans at a Hollywood Bowl sing-along screening of the movie.
