Erin Andrews is going back to wear it all began.

The FOX Sports broadcaster marked 10 years since she was first inspired to create her own women's clothing line with a celebration at Che Fico in San Francisco on Feb. 5, as part of Super Bowl 2026 week.

Exactly a decade ago, Andrews tells PEOPLE she was in town for the 2016 Super Bowl and to host what the NFL calls a "chalk talk." Then, inspiration struck.

"You talk about your job and what it's like on the sideline, what it's like to cover a Super Bowl," she explains. "And then they asked me to wear the gear that was in the convention center, obviously advertising the Super Bowl."

Andrews says the merchandise very clearly wasn't "made by a woman for women," and she couldn't stop thinking about the "white space" in the industry. Andrews knew women needed sports attire they felt good in.

"So then that whole night I was sitting there, and my brain was kind of going nuts," Andrews tells PEOPLE.

The broadcaster ended up going to dinner at popular San Francisco eatery Flour + Water that same evening, where she says the big idea happened.

"There was a paper, obviously a tablecloth, and I had a pen and I just said, 'You guys, this is something. This is what we need to do.' So then I started writing my name and trying to figure out what we'd call [the brand]. Everybody calls me EA in the industry and I wrote, 'EA.' Okay, what do we do?" she says, recalling her thought process.

"And then WEAR came about. And then we were saying like, if you separate 'WEAR,' [you get] 'we are.' We are football, we are basketball, we are confident, we are strong. And 10 years ago, that's what happened," she adds.

Andrews officially launched WEAR back 2019. She says the biggest business lesson she's learned in the last seven years is all about having "patience."

"It all doesn't happen overnight, which I'm still trying to navigate," she says with a laugh.
