David Tennant and his mini-me daughter, Olive, made a rare joint appearance at the opening night of Paddington: The Musical.
On Sunday, Nov. 30, the 54-year-old actor arrived at London's Savoy Theatre on the West End to witness the life-size Paddington bear in action. The Doctor Who star walked the red carpet in a tan sweater, brown trousers and a plaid overcoat, while his daughter, 14, was the spitting image of her father, donning a button-up blouse, a black mini skirt and a pair of black cowboy boots.
In addition to Olive, David shares four other children with his wife of 13 years, Georgia Tennant: Ty, 23, Wilfred, 12, Doris, 10, and Birdie, 5.
While David often opts to keep his family life out of the spotlight, he told The Guardian in July 2020 that he and Georgia are "not quite as squeamish as we were." After all, Ty, who has played roles in House of the Dragon and War of the Worlds, and Olive are both budding stars themselves.
"I don't think we'll ever be sharing pictures of our children in Hello! magazine, but I think a lot of that comes from an insecurity about being uncovered or invaded," the Good Omens actor explained at the time. "The longer you're together, the less that feels like a threat."

He echoed the sentiment while speaking to Radio Times that same month, going on to reflect on the realities of fatherhood — both the good and the bad — while praising the "painfully honest" portrayal of parent-child relationships in his BBC comedy, There She Goes.
"I think parenting is often sentimentalised, and sort of cleaned-up for consumption, and in my own experience being a parent, it's hit and miss, and full of triumphs and disasters."
"[The show is] obviously about parenting a very unique child, but it's also just about parenting, and about how hit and miss that is, and how any one of us as a parent never feels that we're ever getting it right," he continued. "It's actually quite rare to see the honesty of that written down.
