Unexpected Aussie star cast in 'very first movie' alongside actor Russell Crowe
An unlikely Aussie star has been cast in Russell Crowe's new US-made film, Beast in Me. Singer-songwriter Amy Shark is set to play the Gladiator star's daughter in the new picture, which is currently in production in Thailand. Co-starring alongside Neighbours actor Daniel MacPherson and Luke Hemsworth, this will be the first time the 38-year-old Australian Idol judge has ever acted in a film. Amy, whose real name is Amy Louise Billings, shared the news with her followers on Instagram on Tuesday.
