The finale of Gavin And Stacey, which aired on Christmas Day, saw Smithy's (James Corden) jilted lover Sonia make a bombshell return as his fiancée. Sonia's return came as a shock to the nation, and actress Laura had been 'hidden away' in a separate hotel during filming after sigining an NDA to protect the major plot twist.
