Ellie Marks Wins Team USAs First Medal at the 2024 Paralympics with a Silver in 50-Meter Freestyle S6
Swimmer Ellie Marks just brought home Team USA's first medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games! On Thursday, Aug. 29, Marks sprinted her way to silver in the women's 50-meter freestyle S6 race, earning the U.S. its first medal of the Paris Paralympics. Finishing with a time of 32.90, Marks was just behind China's Jiang Yuyan, who won gold in 32.59. Rounding out the podium was Ukraine swimmer Anna Hontar, who took the bronze medal.
