Valerie Bertinelli is living out everyone's childhood Muppet dreams.
In an Instagram post shared on Thursday, Dec. 4, the celebrity chef, 65, shared a three-image carousel of her wholesome meeting with everyone's favorite Sesame Street character: Elmo.
"Be still my heart," she wrote in the caption. "I am not embarrassed to say that I got crazy excited and even choked up with the opportunity to meet the one and only, @elmo."
The Getting Naked author added that she's a "fan forever" of the beloved Muppet. Of course, Elmo is not sentient on his own and was also accompanied by his Emmy award-winning performance artist, Ryan Dillionn.

"It was such a pleasure to meet you and thank you for all you do to keep Elmo alive in our hearts," Bertinelli added to her caption.
While Sesame Street may have been a major part of Bertinelli's childhood, the proud mom may have rekindled her love for the sassy character while raising her son, Wolfgang Van Halen, 34, whom she shares with her late ex-husband Eddie Van Halen.
"To me, this song is perfection," Bertinelli captioned a Nov. 23 Instagram post, featuring a childhood photo of Wolfgang being lifted into the air by her and the former frontman. "Yearning to stay in the present and knowing that's not possible," she added.
Bertinelli was married to Van Halen from 1981 to 2007. In October 2020, He died from a years-long battle with cancer at 65 years old.

In the touching post, the famed chef also highlighted Wolfgang's remake of his dad's popular song, "Distance," writing, "Wolfie does a new arrangement on this tour that just blows me away, my heart swells while my eyes refuse to stay dry."
Bertinelli went on to say that she's proud of Wolfgang and of his ability to "use his art to continue to work through his pain," adding, "I'll never stop being in awe of."

Bertinelli and Wolfgang have a close relationship, especially during the holiday season. In a recent sitdown with PEOPLE, the best-selling author revealed the interesting Thanksgiving plans she had over the years with her son.
"Thanksgiving for me, the last few years has been interesting because my son's been on the road," she explained at the time. "So the first Thanksgiving, I think it was four years ago, we had Thanksgiving in Milan with Alter Bridge, the band. And it was amazing. It was fun. Not a Turkey in sight though!"
She continued, "Last year, we were in Secaucus [New Jersey] at a Houlihan's, and it was so much fun. We all sat at the bar because the restaurant was full and they sat all of us, the band, everyone — my brother, my son, his wife — was there. It was fun. And this year I think we're going to be in Kansas City. I love it. So it's wherever Wolf's bus takes us, that's where we're going to be for Thanksgiving."
