Sharon Stone/Instagram Sharon Stone's mother, Dorothy Marie Stone, has died. She was 91. "My hilarious, complex mother died," Sharon, 67, shared in a heartfeltInstagram poston Monday, July 21. Her words captioned a picture of a smiling Dorothy and laughing Sharon sitting on a sofa together. Dorothy "passed away peacefully with her family and close friends by her side on March 26, 2025," per Montana newspaperDaily Inter Lake. Dorothy was born in 1933, as the Oscar nominee noted in her post. "A product of the last depression, let's NOT do this again. 🇺🇸 Let's protect and care," Stone wrote. Dorothy — known as "Dot" among friends — married her husband Joseph Stone in 1950. They remained married until his death in 2009, just before their 60th anniversary, per theDaily Inter Lake. Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper at the tool and die company her husband founded, Aggressive Forge. After his death, she split her time between Lakeside Montana and Beverly Hills. She recalled asking Dorothy, "'Why [do] you never let me lean on you?' She said: 'Because I taught you to stand on your two goddamn feet.'
