From her nearly full-coverage tattoos to fun and soulful music, McBryde has mastered what it means to stand on her own two legs as an artist. The Arkansas native has been working on building her career since 2006. It took 10 years, but when her 2016 EP was discovered by fellow artistEric Church, her career in country music really took off. Time and time again McBryde proved she's had the chops, but at the 2025 CMA Fest, she put her money where her mouth is with a gorgeous cover ofDon Henley's "Boys of Summer." So many attendees said her performance was the perfect way to kick off summer, and did the cover justice. "It's the perfect Summer song and she is the best one to cover it," proclaimed one fan. "This woman is an artist all around," boasted another. The founding Eagles member got unlikely help from one of Tom Petty's Heartbreakers Mike Campbell after Petty rejected the song due to the heavy use of synthesizers, according toAmerican Songwriter. McBryde is making her way around the U.S. with some notable tour dates this summer following her CMA Fest performance. She's scheduled from June in Biloxi, Mississippi and ends in Ivins, Utah by November.
