Joe Lycett says he understands the furore surrounding his shock baby announcement - admitting: 'It's unexpected for me to have a baby as lots of people think of me as the gay bloke off the telly.' The comedian, 36, has given his first interview since revealing he's become a father for the first time last month with his partner. Many of the Birmingham-born comic's followers were sceptical he was telling the truth, given his form for pranks, and he claimed many of his fans thought his Instagram post announcing his baby's arrival was fake because it looked like he was 'holding a potato'.
