SPENDING $3,000 on a storage locker without knowing what was inside has paid off for one man.
Dan runs the YouTube channel What's Inside, where he opens up things that are locked up, like safes and storage units.
In a recent video, he explained that he spend $3,000 on a storage locker after only seeing it in pictures.
Dan admitted that a majority of the storage locker looked like it was filled with trash, but he was convinced there was a coin collection inside.
Luckily, he was right and found tons of boxes filled with coins and coin collecting supplies.
"My heart is beating so fast," Dan said when he first spotted the collection in the unit.
He admitted that he doesn't know much about coins, and asked viewers to help him identify some of them.
A few of the standouts included Bicentennial quarters and half dollars from different years.
Bicentennial quarters were struck in 1976 to celebrate America's 200th anniversary.
A single quarter sold for $6,463 at an auction in 2017.
The half dollars he found included several from 1943, which are known as Walking Liberty coins.
The 1943 Walking Liberty is the highest mintage of any of the half-dollars from the series.

A single 1943 half dollar sold at auction for $120,000 in 2021. Luckily for Dan, he had several.
Dan also found several Kennedy half dollars, including some from 1979.
The auction record for a 1979 Kennedy is over $4,000.
In the comments, viewers offered Dan some insight on the coins.
"As a coin collector myself. I can easily see a $20,000 – $30,000 collection just from this video alone," wrote one person.
"If you take your time to find the right coin experts, your in for a full scale home run. Well done on a marvellous find."
Another person added, "All I can say, being a coin collector my self, is silver, silver, silver…….. nice find & good eye."
A majority of coins used to be minted with silver and can be sold for the silver content alone.
Other viewers urdged him to keep the cointainers and not remove coins from their protective casings and envelopes.

A homeowner had the same coin-finding luck as Dan when they found a collection hidden in their new house.
The buyer posted on Reddit that they had found tons of coins hidden in the garage, including some dating as far back as 1853.
"We bought a cottage off an elderly lady whose husband had just passed away and the garage was full [of] tools and objects," they said.
One coin was a 1926 Liberty Silver Dollar, which has sold at auction for $32,000.
And that wasn't even the most valuable coin in the bunch.
There was also an 1884 Morgan Dollar which has sold for over $45,000.
