A KROGER shopper was left to fend for themselves at self-checkout, blasting the grocery chain online.

They shared an image of their stacked groceries at the kiosk, calling out the unacceptable absence of cashiers.

Kroger shoppers have listed a myriad of complaints against the grocer online[/caption]

In a post to X, the Kroger shopper paired the picture of their full bagging area with a plea for human employees.

"Can we please get some human checkout service in San Diego?" they asked.

"6:30 am at the Hazard Center location. No checkers available to help me.

"Full cart of groceries at self-checkout. Unacceptable!"

Kroger responded to the complaint, apologizing for the shopper's poor experience.

"We appreciate you sharing your feedback with us and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

"We will forward your comments to the appropriate department to make them aware of your concerns.

"If you need further assistance with anything else, please let us know."

KROGER CRITIQUES

Another Kroger shopper has turned to social media to chastise the chain for overcharging on groceries.

They claimed that Kroger would promote a sale price but fail to follow through at checkout.

<!-- End of Brightcove Player -->

"Regularly, my local Kroger advertises a sale price, charges a full price at checkout, and assumes I won't check my receipt before I leave," they shared on X.

To receive the discount price, the shopper would have to visit customer service despite long lines.

"They also assume I won't wait in a customer service line for 45 minutes to get the $10 they overcharged me back," they said.

"Yeah, right. Not today…"

Other shoppers similarly ran into issues with Kroger's sale prices, alleging the grocer did not honor sales prices when they ordered for delivery.

"Be careful with Kroger boost delivery," shared one X user.

"If you order and pay prior to sale ending and they deliver your order next day then you can and will be massively overcharged!" they claimed.

However, the grocer was quick to explain that the surcharges were related to the delivery date, not the order date.

According to the retailer, customers are charged when the groceries arrive – if the sale ends before that, they will be charged the price difference.

"Our weekly ad comes out every Wednesday. You are charged for your items on the day of your pickup/delivery," posted the retailer.

"Prices are subject to change when the weekly ad changes. We apologize for any confusion this caused. Have a great day!"

In related news, Kroger was told to "revisit policy" after the chain admitted a self-checkout flaw and accepted it "could be easy to miss."

Another Kroger shopper fumed after a "ridiculous" self-checkout decision despite a rival opening.

A LOYAL Wells Fargo customer bashed the bank's customer service after their account was abruptly closed.

The account was closed due to address confusion, but the customer placed the blame on the bank.

Facebook users readily critiqued the bank after a customer had their account of 16 years shut down[/caption]

In a post to Facebook, the Wells Fargo user blasted the bank for closing their long-standing business account over outdated account information.

"Reason #543 why I hate Wells Fargo bank," they began.

"Today I found out the bank had closed a business account that I've had for 16 years because they 'didn't know the physical address of my company.'"

The customer blamed the bank for failing to send adequate notice of the necessary account changes.

"Not that I don't receive statements and other communications monthly from them," they wrote.

"Worst customer service in the world. Good riddance!"

COMMENTER CRITIQUES

Facebook users flooded the comments to critique the bank's operations.

One user claimed they had lost over $20,000 to fraud last year while banking with Wells Fargo, accusing the bank of being apathetic.

"I never liked them… I've heard many shifty stories," said another.

Others took issue with not only Wells Fargo but also big banks in general, such as Bank of America and Citi Bank.

<!-- End of Brightcove Player -->

One mentioned they had cut their ties with big banks 25 years ago. "Hate them all," they said.

"Get away from the big banks!" advised another user, as a third suggested banking with a Credit Union.

NO HELP

Their warnings hold some merit, as numerous customers have suffered losses due to fraudulent activity on their Wells Fargo accounts.

One such customer is Jolinda Crocker, 63, who had $60,000 stolen from her account while teaching in Italy.

She filed a fraud report but a week later was accused of transferring the money herself by the bank.

"I would never transfer such a big sum of money in my life. I run a little music school," she told Daily Mail.

<p class="article__content--intro"> As scams become more sophisticated with the use of artificial intelligence, it is important you know how to spot a scam: </p> </div> </div>

Crocker has been working to get her funds back for the past two years, but with no success.

"It feels like everybody is just rolling their eyes. $60,000 is nothing to Wells Fargo but it's my lifesaving," she said.

In other Wells Fargo news, a customer was "at complete zero" because the bank unexpectedly closed their account while traveling.

Plus, the bank "quietly overcharged" thousands of customers for 10 years according to a $5 million lawsuit, revealing how the bank did it.

SHOPPERS are being advised to use their cell phones to detect credit card skimmers after the devices were found at a Massachusetts gas station.

A gas station in Brookline, located 20 minutes outside of Boston, recently discovered scamming devices were being used to steal several customers' credit card information from January 16 to March 15.

Credit card skimmers are devices placed on pin pad machines that steal personal information using Bluetooth technology.

Once users input their card and pin, the information gets sent to an external recorder via Bluetooth.

Skimmers look similar to keypads and range in size, making it hard to tell if one is on the card machine you're using.

If you're using a gas pump that has a skimmer, there's no way to protect yourself after you've inserted your card.

Card skimmers are most commonly found at gas stations or ATMS, but can also be found at self-checkout machines or restaurants.

Since card skimmers can be hard to locate by eye, Brookline police are helping customers find an easier way to detect skimmers by using the Bluetooth capability of their cell phones.

The police posted a video to Facebook explaining what a card skimmer is and how to detect it.

"In your settings, if you open Bluetooth and hold your phone close to the pump, it should pick up the skimmer device with the code HC-05 or something similar," Sergeant Rob said in the video.

The officer advises customers not to connect to the HC-05 Bluetooth and instead report it to the gas station.

The Brookline police advise hiding your keypad when entering your PIN to avoid your transaction being recorded. Apple or Google Pay is recommended over using a physical card.

<!-- End of Brightcove Player -->

On top of checking via Bluetooth for credit card skimmers, try to stick to gas stations or ATMs you're familiar with.

SKIMMING ON THE RISE

Card skimming is on the rise across the United States.

In 2023, the total number of compromised debit cards was up 96% from 2022, according to FICO.

Compromised cards caused by ATMs were up by 90%.

Last week, two scammers were arrested right outside of Houston on charges related to credit card skimming.

Not only did the pair of scammers place a credit card skimmer internally in credit card machines, but they also inserted a camera into the card readers to record users' transactions.

    </div> </div>

About 60% of skimming occurs at privately owned ATMs typically located in convenience stores or other privately owned establishments, according to United Credit Union.

Most credit card companies also offer alerts of possible fraudulent activity happening on any accounts.

Signing up for these alerts will help prevent any future fraudulent activity.

As these crimes become more common across the country, it's important now more than ever to stay vigilant while using your credit card.

A YOUNG man has transformed a bus that was previously used to sell marijuana into a luxurious tiny home.

The house-on-wheels is now full of unique features, including something fun hanging up on the back.

He created the unique interior by himself with the help of a few friends[/caption]

Kelly Wakasa is a YouTuber who decided to try tiny home living for himself.

Like others who have experimented with this lifestyle, he decided to convert a bus into a tiny home on wheels.

He shared the entire process in a YouTube vlog for his 1.5 million subscribers.

But Kelly's choice of vehicle was no ordinary bus.

He bought a 2008 GMC short bus that had previously been used to sell weed in Manhattan.

What's more, it had a lot of problems.

The AC, stereo, and electricity were all broken.

Kelly's plan was to convert the bus into a home on wheels that followed his personal motto: "Do what excites."

Aside from the mechanical work, Kelly did the whole conversion himself with the help of his friends.

Amazingly, it took just 30 days of focussed work to totally transform the shabby bus into a luxurious space.

The completed vehcicle could sleep up to six people, plus there was space to hang out, and even study.

<!-- End of Brightcove Player -->

Kelly added plenty of unique touches such as turf on the floor and a vivid blue paint job for the exterior.

VISION CAME TO LIFE

At the back, he installed a basketball hoop – perfect for some street-side hoop-shooting.

After 30 days, the transformation wasn't fully complete, but the YouTuber was proud of the progress he had made so far.

"Obviously, there are still a lot of things to fix, a lot of things to renovate," said Kelly.

"I couldn't be more proud of the hours and hours my friends and I worked on this thing.

"It makes me so proud and I can't believe that my vision has come to life."

OTHER TRANSFORMATIONS

Kelly isn't the only one who has tuned an old bus into a tiny home.

Tiny home veteran Rita revealed how she and her dog live full-time in a 2001 Ford shuttle.

She told fans during a YouTube video: "Whatever gets you out on the road fast enough so that you can adventure and see and do and experience things, don't worry about it being pretty."

Another tiny home fan used a yurt as their economical but cozy house.

And see the company that sells ready-to-go tiny homes for just $15,000.

A TACO Bell employee has revealed a crucial hack to customers that could let them get more beans for less.

The staffer noted that the menu secret wouldn't cost much money, but the bean benefit would be significant.

An employee at Taco Bell seemingly revealed a bean hack for customers[/caption]

They spilled the information after a request from a fan, who noted their love for Taco Bell's beans.

The customer wanted to know which specific order combination would allow for the most beans at the same relative purchase price.

"Taco Bell employees…which option would get me the most beans?" they asked in a thread on Reddit.

"No judgment, please…I just love their beans."

They also included a screenshot of their order.

It showed a Pintos N Cheese bowl along with a Bean Burrito with extra beans added.

The price for both were listed at $2.49 and $2.44, respectively.

An employee quickly replied that the customer had already selected the menu item with the opportunity for the most beans at Taco Bell.

It would be through the Bean Burrito and selecting extra beans.

The staffer claimed that beans are distributed to menu options at the fast food chain through two different scoops, a "green scoop" and a "red scoop."

<!-- End of Brightcove Player -->

Green scoops supposedly offer a standard amount of beans, while red is designated for smaller quantities.

In the Bean Burrito, according to the employee, there is typically one green scoop of beans.

With the extra beans selection, a red scoop is added.

They also confirmed that the Pinto N Cheese bowl comes with a green scoop of beans.

That means the customer would be getting a total of two green scoops and one red scoop of beans in their order.

The employee noted its the best option price-wise for the beans at a total of $4.93.

ANOTHER WAY?

Another suggested that the customer should instead opt for a Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito in their order, as it is "$1 less" in comparison to the Bean Burrito.

They'd get slightly less beans, as it only features one red scoop, but it would be cheaper, and they'd still get the complete green scoop in the Pinto N Cheese bowl.

"Your best bean/$ ratio though would probably be cheesy bean and rice burrito," the Taco Bell staffer wrote in a post.

"It gets one small scoop but it's $1 less."

"Need to do more math on it, but that's my theory so far," they added.

It would seemingly make more sense for the customer to add the Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito for the extra $1, or leave it out altogether and stick with their original order.

They would have to decide if the extra $1 was worth the small red scoop of additional beans.

The U.S. Sun also has the story on the way customers can swap toppings at the chain for a "fresco" style, according to a staffer.

An anonymous lottery player in Michigan said she won big on an instant win scratch card game.

A lottery player won $2 million from an instant win scratch card[/caption]

The 41-year-old, from Macomb County, north of Detriot, played the $2,000 Large Instant Game.

She purchased her ticket at Party Palace Liquor in Shelby Township, according to Michigan Lottery Connect.

The winner explained that she stopped to buy a lotto slip on her way to pick up pizza.

She also shared that the random twist of fate was that she was not the typical person in her household to purchase lottery tickets.

"My husband is usually the one who buys scratch off tickets, but I decided to stop and buy one on my way to pick up pizza," she said.

The player added that she instantly found out she had won a life-changing amount of cash.

"While I was waiting for my pizza, I sat in my car and scratched the ticket," she said.

"It was surreal when I realized I'd won $2 million."

The lucky player explained what she did next as soon as she found out the good news.

"I called my husband to tell him the big news because I was so excited.

<!-- End of Brightcove Player -->

"I couldn't wait until I got home!"

She later visited the state's lottery headquarters in Lansing to claim her money.

Players are given the option between a one-time payment or an annuity option that would spread out the installments across years.

The 41-year-old chose the one-time option but this wiped a large chunk of her winnings off after fees and taxes were taken.

<p class="article__content--intro"> Millions dream of winning the lottery and finding fame and fortune. These are the biggest winners in US lottery history. </p> </div> </div>

She ended up walking away with $1.3 million.

This winner said she planned to spend the cash on a vacation and paying off bills.

MISSED MONEY

The U.S. Sun has reported on other high-value lottery tickets yet to be claimed.

A $500,000 winning Powerball ticket was sold in Mason City, Iowa, about two hours away from Des Moines.

This ticket matched all five numbers and the Powerball, which was five.

The other numbers were 12, 23, 44, 57, and 61.

This player must claim their prizes by September 12.

Andre Onana's former teammate Ryan Babel has blamed a Manchester United defender for making the goalkeeper look 'terrible'.

Onana has endured a difficult first season at Old Trafford but Babel, who played with the Cameroonian at Ajax, believes United's defence is partly to blame.

United have won less than half of their league games this season, sitting 13 points outside the Champions League places and 26 adrift of leaders Arsenal with four games remaining.

Onana has attracted criticism for some high-profile mistakes and Babel insists his former teammate has 'not been himself' since arriving at United.

But the ex-Netherlands star believes Onana has not been helped by a dysfunctional Manchester United defence and says Harry Maguire often 'puts him in trouble'.

'Andre Onana is a great goalkeeper, I played with him at Ajax and he went on and continued to show what he's capable of at Inter,' Babel told Ladbrokes.

'And then he signed for Man United and for some reason it hasn't worked out. That's concerning. It's been so long that these supporters have had to suffer, they want immediate impact and results, especially from new signings.

Ryan Babel played with Onana at Ajax (Picture: Getty)

'I know the spotlight is on Onana a lot in this United team, but the mistakes we've seen are as a result of a combination of things.

'Onana, at Ajax, had a back four in front of him who were all incredible with the ball at their feet.

'Respectfully, if Onana is then playing with Harry Maguire, then that immediately puts Onana in trouble, because he's playing with defenders who aren't opening themselves up, or making the right runs, so that Onana has options to play, and that puts him in trouble.

'At Ajax, Onana had the privilege of four great defenders, and Frenkie de Jong in front of them. Onana is a great goalkeeper, but they made him look even better.

'If a set of players don't work well together, it makes some of those players in particular look terrible. In this case, that's what Onana has experienced.

'Absolutely, though, some mistakes have been completely his fault; sometimes you question his positioning, or you just wonder what he's doing.

                    </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div>

'He's not been himself in my opinion, but from what I know of him, and what I've seen, he's an incredibly talented goalkeeper, and I hope that more people can see that next season for Manchester United.'

Onana conceded a penalty in United's disappointing 1-1 draw with Burnley at the weekend, meaning Erik ten Hag's side have now won just one of their last six games.

The Red Devils have little to play for in the Premier League but face Manchester City in the FA Cup final one week after the final day.
