Neighborhood cats don’t get to head inside and turn up the heat when a cold, wet night rolls in. They look for whatever protected spot they can find, which makes having a warm, dry shelter waiting for them especially helpful as temperatures start to fall.
And during Walmart’s Deal Days, there’s an affordable way to give them one. The YUWENUS Heated Outdoor Cat House is currently $55.99 for the small size, down from $89.99, and it combines an insulated, weather-resistant shelter with an elevated base and thermostatically controlled heating pad to give outdoor kitties a warmer place to hunker down. A larger size is also available for $68.99 (reg $99.99).

The 26-watt heating pad measures 17 by 13 inches and has a soft fleece surface for cats to rest on. A wired digital controller displays the temperature in real time, while the thermostat automatically adjusts the heat to help maintain a more consistent temperature rather than heating continuously. Because the controller is wired, you’ll need a power source nearby.
The small shelter measures approximately 16.5 inches long by 12.6 inches wide by 20.5 inches tall. Its five-layer construction includes 900D waterproof Oxford fabric, a flexible PVC layer, hollow board, insulation cotton, and insulating foil to help block cold air and reduce heat loss.

It also sits 6.7 inches above the ground, helping keep cats away from cold, damp surfaces. Extended roof edges and a covered entrance offer extra weather protection, while two included ground stakes help keep the house secure outdoors. The compact footprint also makes it easier to place on a porch or in another sheltered outdoor spot.
Another thoughtful feature is the two-door design. In addition to the covered front entrance, a side escape door gives cats another way out, so they aren’t dependent on a single opening if another animal approaches the shelter.

The heated cat house has a 3.9-star rating from 104 ratings at Walmart, and outdoor-cat caregivers are already using it. One verified shopper says “all the outside cats love it,” appreciates the elevated design, and says the heating pad “makes no difference in the electric bill.” Another calls it “great for feral animals or those out in the cold,” although they wished there were a dedicated place to secure the heating-pad controller.
At $55.99 during Walmart’s Deal Days, it’s a timely way to set up a heated shelter before the coldest nights arrive, whether you’re looking out for a neighborhood stray, a community cat, or a kitty who prefers spending time outdoors.
