Gypsy Rose Blanchard was involved in a minor traffic collision Saturday in southeast Louisiana, less than three weeks after the father of her young daughter was found dead.

Louisiana State Police confirmed to People magazine that Blanchard, 35, collided with another vehicle driven by a man in Terrebonne Parish.

The man's name was not released. Troopers said the wreck caused minor property damage, and no injuries or arrests were reported.

TMZ reported that the crash happened at an intersection and that sun glare affecting Blanchard's vision played a role. The outlet also pointed to a social media post by a Houma resident who appeared to describe the encounter from behind the wheel.

"2026 is wild. Just got sideswiped by Gypsy Rose. FML," the person wrote.

Blanchard pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the 2015 killing of her mother, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard, and was released from prison in December 2023.

Her case drew national attention and has been the subject of documentaries and television specials.

Saturday's collision follows the October 1 death of her former fiancé, Ken Urker, who died on his 34th birthday. A relative requested a welfare check after Urker did not report to work, and he was found dead inside his home in Raceland, Louisiana.

Blanchard has said Urker died of an overdose. Page Six, citing police, reported that drugs, drug paraphernalia and a handgun were found at the scene.

The pair had a 1-year-old daughter, Aurora Raina.

In an interview with Page Six earlier this month, Blanchard described what turned out to be their final meeting, a playful gesture in September.

"During one of our exchanges, I decided to surprise him with Burger King," Blanchard recalled. "I pretended to be a DoorDash driver and left his food outside his door."

"Looking back, I'm grateful that one of my final memories of Ken was something lighthearted, thoughtful, and filled with kindness," she said.

Blanchard also provided the outlet with text messages she said she exchanged with Urker before his death, seeking to dispel speculation that the two had been locked in a custody fight.

In the messages, they agreed to work out arrangements for their daughter on their own.

"There's no need to involve lawyers unless you're contesting the agreement," Urker wrote, adding, "It's not necessary."

"The only reason you would get lawyers involved is if you or I don't agree to the arrangement we currently have," he wrote in another message.
