'EastEnders' Original Cast Members, 76 & 69, Reunite And Turn Heads At British Soap Awardsoriginally appeared onParade. This past weekend, the cast and crew ofEastEnderswalked the red carpet at the British Soap Awards, where original cast membersAnita Dobson, 76, andGillian Taylforth, 69, were reunited. The two stars appeared together on the red carpet 40 years after originally starring together on the BBC soap. Dobson turned heads in a crystal-studded black blazer, with accompanying black leggings with dazzling lion head embellishments. Meanwhile, Talyforth wore a sleeveless pink top partnered with high wasted wide leg pants partnered with sparkling open toe heels. Dobson leftEastEndersin 1987, as the original matriarch and landlady of The Queen Vic, Angie Watts left the series. Angie was tragically killed offscreen in 2002, when the character passed away due to cirrhosis of the liver after being an alcoholic for most of her adult life. Dobson recently made a ghostly appearance for the soaps 40th anniversary this past February appearing to her adopted daughter Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean). Taylforth has played the role of off Kathy Beale off and on since 1985. The character was previously "killed" off screen in 2006 when she crashed in a car crash. However, it was revealed in 2015 that the character survived but was trapped in an abusive relationship.
