High School Football Team 'Heartbroken' After Player Dies in Ga. Car Crash: 'We Lost One of Our Own'
A Georgia high school football player and a recent high-school graduate died after a head-on car crash that also injured the woman's younger brother. Georgia State Patrol identified Brennon Beavers, 16, as one of the victims in the accident, which happened at approximately 4 p.m. local time in Walker County on Tuesday, April 15, according to CBS affiliate WDEF-TV. Cassiddy Mitchell, 19, also died, NBC affiliate WRCB-TV and ABC affiliate WTVC-TV reported.
