Monty Don has revealed he was rushed to hospital with a mystery illness over the weekend. The 69-year-old presenter announced the news in an Instagram video as he apologised for cancelling a few dates last minute from his tour, An Audience With Monty Don. BBC Gardeners' World star Monty, who suffered a minor stroke in 2008, admitted he was being monitored in hospital for three days. Sat cuddling his golden retriever Nigel, Monty said: 'I am so sorry to have disappointed all those people who were going to come and see me in Exeter and Truro and Bath and Nottingham.
