A 'gutted' Justin Rose believes he will fight for more majors after he missed out on becoming the first Englishman to win The Open since Nick Faldo on a gripping final day at Royal Troon. The 43-year-old twice topped the leader board and birdied two of the last three holes but finished two shots behind Xander Schauffele who was crowned the Champion Golfer of the Year. 'I was gutted when I walked off the course and it hit me hard because I was so strong out there,' said Rose, who had to come through qualifying to earn his place at Troon.
