A woman has plunged four storeys to her death after stepping into a lift shaft when the doors opened with the elevator not there. Clelia Ditano, 25, died in the early hours of this morning in her apartment building in Fasano, in the province of Brindisi, southern Italy. She reportedly pressed the lift button and stepped through the doors when they opened, not noticing that the elevator was not there.
