A FREE-SPIRITED woman has blown tiny home fans away with her DIY $3,000 house.
Many found it hard to believe it was built on such a tight budget, but the home did come with a big downside.

The Facebook page Alternativehouse showcases some of the most impressive and unique tiny homes around.
In a recent video, one woman gave a tour of her DIY tiny house that she built for just $3,000.
The cozy cabin was built using natural wood in a caravan style with three steps leading up to the front door.
Immediately after entering, there is a small kitchenette on the left with a sink and small fridge.
The home has just one room, but there's enough space for a queen-sized bed.
Its custom design makes use of clever space-saving features like storage drawers under the bed and a fold-down dining table that hangs on the wall when it is not being used.
Situated in a rural area, the home offers many opportunities for gazing out the windows and looking at the natural scenery.
To make it even more homely, there is a wood-burning stove and plenty of ornaments and decor on the walls.
People in the comments could hardly believe it cost just $3,000 to build.
"There is absolutely no way that was only $3k," wrote one.
<!-- End of Brightcove Player --> "I mean the trailer alone, all that shiplap, appliances etc."
But most agreed that the tiny home was a stunning piece of work.
"It's so beautiful," wrote another.
"I can mentally picture myself being the one living in it and all it's scenic outdoor beauty."
"It's beautiful," said another. "Great job decorating! I absolutely love the vibe.

However, others were unsure about the bathroom situation.
To save space, both the toilet and shower of the tiny home are outside.
"I was just about to get with it untill I saw that toilet," wrote one.
Another said, "I love it but I would have to do something a little different with the toilet and shower unless I am in another state where it doesn't get cold."
